In this session, Shannon will show teachers the Why and How (backwards design) of Proficiency based assessment using task-neutral Proficiency sequences.  Teachers will learn that designing these sequences meets all of their needs in one tool (lesson planning, self-assessment, proficiency scales) instead of get caught in a 'death by rubric' spiral. This 90 minute session will include time for reflection, a Q & A, and a sequence building exercise so teachers can see how the building process works.
